The lodge was exceptional. Spacious living space. All 3 bedrooms had plenty of hangers and storage space. Very comfortable stay. Whole site felt safe and friendly.

Highermead House was one of the less expensive places the GPS showed reasonably close to Tintagel (King Arthur's castle) so we booked it without high expectations. Boy, were we surprised, starting with the nice confirmation note Kasey sent.
The GPS took us to a tiny gate in a very narrow tree tunnel. But a few yards further is the wide entrance with lots of parking around what will one day be a fountain (once the outside is renovated). Jon greeted us and took us through a large, beautiful, warm and welcoming, sitting room to a very nicely decorated room that had everything we'd need - microwave, fridge, dishes, table and chairs, lighted mirror in the bathroom, nook in the shower for shower gel. Without having met Kasey, I knew immediately it was her work. She had put some serious thought and effort into it. Later she told me she put everything in it that she would want.
Thank you, Jon and Kasey, for being so warm and friendly and having such delightfully fun boys. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay!

Perfect spot for a quiet retreat and exploring Cornwall! Hosts were very welcoming and helpful, recommending lots of lovely places for us to visit during our stay. The Hut is equipped with everything you need for all weathers eg mini fan, mini electric heater, blankets. Self catering was made easy with all the kitchen essentials including small fridge and a fire pit outside.
The pod is set in a beautiful surrounding with lovely views of the countryside. Very peaceful and quiet.

Everything! It was perfect for our weekend visit to Cornwall and we would have happily stayed longer. Great host, very welcoming. The apartment was spotless and beautifully furnished with everything we needed.
The cottage felt like a cosy home, rather then the usual holiday letting feel. It was so clean and tidy, everything worked well and as it should. We even had fresh eggs, scones, cream, wine and a card ready for our arrival. The sheep, cows, Morgan the horse and Reggie the dog were all lovely additions to the property which kept my young nieces entertained. Gavin and Jill were so friendly and welcoming, they couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
