Pear Tree Loft, hotel in Lacock

Located in Lacock and only 1.5 km from Lacock Abbey, Pear Tree Loft provides accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Pear Tree Loft is located right next to the river Avon and has a super garden in which to wander. We stayed for three nights and found the accommodation to be first class. The spiral staircase was tricky to negotiate with our luggage but that wouldn’t put us off staying again. Unfortunately, we stayed just as the area suffered massive rainstorms which caused the river to flood making getting around very difficult, additionally the water knocked out the heat pump so we had no heating or hot water one of the nights. The owners managed to rectify this the following morning.

The Old Bar in Wiltshire - 1 bedroom guesthouse, hotel in Lacock

The Old Bar in Wiltshire - 1 bedroom guesthouse is located in Chippenham, 24 km from Royal Crescent, 24 km from The Circus Bath, and 24 km from Bath Abbey.

The bed was so comfortable and the place itself is so cute! Perfect little studio, just what we needed! The sofa is very comfortable but the TV isn’t smart so make sure you bring a fire stick if you want to watch Netflix. Loved the look and the feel of the place, felt just at home! The parking is great, and I love that you feel private with your own little courtyard/garden, would be better if it had some outside seating but it was still really good!

Location was the best, right on top of everything - house was very cosy, lovely fire in the lounge and heating was on and place was warm. Hot Tub was a big feature for us and a lovely terrace to relax on. Surprised how warm it was for December - would be lovely in the summer.

This is a great place to stay. The bed is very comfortable which is important to me as I have a bad back. It was spotlessly clean for our stay. Lovely location overlooking fields but close to amenities.

The location and view was fabulous. Check-in was extremely easy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and the two bedrooms were very comfortable, with nice bedding. The flat made for a great stay with the kids who particularly loved the bunk beds! Plus there is a great little playground on site so the kids can play whilst you relax and soak up the view.

I was really surprised by how nice this small village pub was, although obviously a really old building the rooms were really clean, bright and airy, great modern facilities (iPod dock, flat screen tv) and a lovely bathroom piping hot water. Down stairs lovely typical village pub feel but the food was amazing (steak and ale pie with oven baked new potatoes drizzled with melted butter) staff were friendly will definitely be staying when in the area again
