The big yellow house became a landmark for coming and going to our lodging which was this adorable private shepherds hut behind that house. Inside, everything you needed was at your disposal. The hosts were super friendly and accomodating and made us feel at home. Parking was safe and in front of the house. Getting around Finstown, Kirkwall or to any of the ancient burial sights from this location was easy.

A very comfortable house conveniently located for visiting the major neolithic sites on the island. Well equipped kitchen and having a washing machine (no dryer) was a welcome addition. We were able to drive easily all over the island from our location.

Great compact apartment. Everything was very clean and convenient, and well supplied. The location was very good for both the neolithic sites and Kirkwall. There is a good supermarket in Kirkwall (10 minutes by car). There are some nice walks for the evening, and the parking is easy. The Wifi worked well, and the washer is modern and easy to use. This was a good break from B&B allowing us to eat more lightly and save some money.
The location was fantastic - across the road from the sea and central to all the visitor sites across Orkney. We were only a few minutes from all the sites at Brodgar and Steness, Kirkwall and Stromness were only a short drive away, we really could not have been better located. The apartment had everything we needed, and while small, it didn't feel cramped. Our hosts were lovely and left a welcome basket and fresh milk in the fridge.
The property is situated perfectly between Stromness and Kirkwall. Like a studio and absolutely perfect . Fantastic shower , plenty soft and squishy towels and comfy bed . Lovely and clean . Great cooking facilities air fryer etc

The owner was so helpful with recommendations, which we used to extend our trip and were not disappointed. The apartment is cosy, but well laid out and the double glazing makes it very quiet. I would return in a heart beat.
Ideal location for exploring the island. On a main bus route and village shop nearby. Really peaceful and relaxing stay. Exceptionally clean with everything you need for self catering
