We were looking for somewhere to stop over for two nights and how could we resist somewhere named the Bees Knees? The location just outside Monmouth was perfect for our needs and gave us the opportunity to explore the forest nearby. This extension on the side of the main house/converted barn was cosy and clean, with everything we needed. Comfortable bed with loads of pillows to choose from, good size shower and decent wifi. The lighting efffects were fun to play with and we did actually use them for softer lighting in the morning. We were treated to cake, tea and coffee and there was milk waiting in the fridge. The weather was still good for the time of year so we were able to sit out in the fenced-off garden area and enjoy the view. We didn't use the full kitchen, but we could have easily cooked for ourelves if we'd been staying longer. Our hosts made it easy to get the keys and when the electricity briefly failed were really responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to be in the area for a few days.

Lovely décor, clean and homely. Location to city centre and Quays an easy 5 minutes walk. Gloucester City park on doorstep if bringing your dog. Secure gate with combination lock.

The host was absolutely lovely and so welcoming! Such a homely place in a stunning location. The one bedroom apartment was beautiful and had everything we could ever need! Perfect couples night away and will definitely be visiting me.
The location for visiting the forest of dene was excellent, this was the purpose of the visit.
Garden was really secure for out dogs which meant we could relax when letting them out.
A fantastic surprise - a cosy and well-equipped studio in an absolutely stunning setting. Awesome views and forest walks from the door. The hosts were brilliant, and the dogs, sheep and chickens all very friendly.
Lovely cottage and a great base for our holiday. Close to Forest of Dean and beautiful walks. Property was comfortable & clean and had probably the best equipped kitchen I’ve seen in a holiday rental making it easy to cook a roast dinner for Easter. The joy of sharp knives and a dishwasher with salt & rinse aid! Electric car charging was a big draw and owner charged and a not for profit rate. Comfortable & cozy beds and large garden.
No windows that could open. Tv that had fuzzy channels, a awful bed where you felt the springs, needs replacing, no pillow or bed protecters, pillows flat as pancakes. No heated towel rail. Roof light that let all light in early hours of morning.
Shower door did not close properly, no floor.mat.

The Apartments are self catering with great facilities. The location is fantastic literally on the doorway into the forest.
10 Minute walk to St Anthony's well.We were welcomed by the owners Brian and Jill who were very friendly and helpful with local attractions . They were also very welcoming to our small dog and provide a dog welcome pack for your stay.
