We had a wonderful stay at Lochanside. The scenery is beautiful, and the surroundings are incredibly peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. Mark and Ann were incredibly thoughtful, providing fresh bread, milk, and even whisky upon our arrival, which made us feel very welcome. Although we were staying in the same house as them, we had a separate entrance, so we had complete privacy.
The double bed was very soft and comfortable, and the kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. I was especially delighted to find a moka pot when I thought we’d only have instant coffee. The living room was cozy and made us feel right at home.
A special thanks to Ann, who came out to greet us when we arrived and also when we left, giving us a warm welcome, explaining the facilities, and ensuring we were safe during our stay. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it!

The location is very good, the space is just right for three people, and it’s clean. Communicating with the owner is easy and the response is immediate.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
The apartment is cosy and well equipped, and close to Portree town centre. It is also very quiet and the view from the windows are stunning. The landlords had kindly left food in the apartments (biscuits, breadrolls, etc.) and lent us adapters for our phones
perfect location to explore the Isle of Skye in all directions, everything you need available for self catering, even a washing machine, plus: baby-proof (door/fence at ending of the stairs) and equipment (high chair, cot, bathtub). Mairi was very friendly and helpful. Hopefully the apartment will be abailable on future trips: we would like to come back!
