This is an amazingly beautiful apartment in a perfect location for exploring the old town of Provins. The owner met me when arranged with key. There were a lot of unexpected features: clawfoot tub and robes, expresso and drip coffee maker, lots of coffee, tea, cereal. I didn't want to leave.

The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, parking was easy and free and restaurants and a bakery were very close by. It's not in the touristy part of town, but it wasn't a long walk to get there. I liked the little touches like pretty dishes and paintings on the walls that made it feel like a home away from home. Our 3 year old's immediate comment was, "it's so pretty!"

The strong point of this property is the location. It can't be beat. You walk to the corner and there are several restaurants. One of the main tourist attractions is one block away. Turn left at the corner and you have the lower town where you can shop for anything, a small grocery/epicerie around the corner, several lovely boulangeries. Turn right at the corner and you can walk up to the medieval town. We liked the choice of restaurants in the lower town but the sights in the upper town. The free parking lot is a couple blocks away and that is fine when it's not raining. We just parked and left the car. You can walk everyplace.
For travelers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. I can honestly say that I had the nicest stay EVER and I do travel a lot. The host, David, was super helpful and charming. He really couldn't do enough. The suite and the house itself is just stunning and the attention to detail and the creative passion that has gone into making the house so comfortable is incredible.
