Well-placed for walking into the beautiful town, pleasant outlook, quiet. Charming and welcoming owner, spotless apartment, very comfortable. Lots of thoughtful little touches. Lovely large room with a kitchenette, secure parking and a sunny terrace to sit out on. It's part of a privately owned house but because it's around the side you have your own separate area and it feels very private. Host Stephanie was excellent, she explained the local area and the walks we could do. Location is excellent, a very quiet neighbourhood right at the start of the Circuit des Hortensias. We had bikes so cycled around the lake which had a couple of nice creperies/bars that were in close proximity to the apartment.
La Martinière is set in Saint-Martin-sur-Oust, 47 km from Vannes Marina, 48 km from Museum Of Fine Arts, Vannes La Cohue, and 49 km from Le Chorus Exhibition Center.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. The house is a beautifully restored historic cottage in a quiet impasse (cul de sac) about a hundred yards from the main square in Malestroit. It is in a perfect location for the town and it's probably the best equipped and most comfortable self catering property we have been to.
One piece of advice to renters, who will probably be using a car. You have to park two or three minutes walk away; Floriane the owner suggests where but it's worth allowing a little time to sus out the parking places when you arrive in the town.
