The apartment is really big, with a well-equipped kitchen and separate living room on the top floor, and it's in a great position right in the centre of Laon, with a unique view of the medieval courtyard and the cathedral. We would definitely like to stay again if we return to Laon.

We had a very nice experience staying in Laon, the host was great and the apartment is very nice. We just don’t recommend it to people with reduced mobility due to stairs that need to be taken to go to the bathroom from the living room. For us it was a fantastic place!

The location is good; you have the whole one main street to walk down in order to get anywhere in town —to any cafe, restaurant, or bar—, ultimately to the glorious cathedral, with its extraordinary statues of saints, patriarchs, prophets, and kings brilliantly individualized, not to mention the vigorous gargoyles of hippopotamus and rhinoceros. This early Gothic cathedral is a jewel.
The apartment itself requires negotiating steep, narrow, and spiral steps to get up into. (There is a storeroom halfway up to leave big luggage.) The second bedroom is a further flight of stairs above, only for children, there being no bathroom up there. (The toilet seat was completely detached when we came, but we found this less a problem than it seemed, a touch of medieval ruin.) The bed sagged too much, but the hot water was adequate. We did not try the tv. The landlord did not meet us on arrival, and that was unwelcome. The position of the house housing the medieval apartment brings you close to walking the opposite way to an overlooked monastic church of the first Premonstratensians, worth a look.

We loved everything. Especially the night view. We want to return. It is a lovely apartment. Very, very clean with everything we needed. We loved the upstairs part too.
This is a very comfortable apartment, decorated warmly with a homely feel. The kitchen is well-equipped if you need to cook. The bed is large and very comfortable, and it is quiet at night.
Lovely secluded accommodation even though it’s right in the middle of the city and close to all historical sites and places of interest. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants and the Gothic Cathedral. The studio apartment is clean, warm and comfortable with lots of hot water and a well equipped kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Communication with the host was very easy.
If you fancy somewhere a bit different to stay, this could be the place! We stayed in the attic apartment, with exposed beams and lovely old-fashioned architectural touches, including a wonky wooden staircase. Very comfortable bed. If you want a modern apartment, this wouldn’t be your thing. If you like a quirky, old-fashioned place with a great view of the top of the cathedral, this is for you.
