We enjoyed staying here so much in February that we returned in March. In February, we enjoyed the clear skies at night and took photos of the night sky in Monfragüe National Park. In March, we hiked on the trails and observed the interesting birds. The amount of birds around the village is really amazing. We saw storks fly over the apartment twice. Also, there are barn swallows nesting on the porch that are fun to quietly watch out the window of the apartment. The apartment is so comfortable and clean. We were encouraged to use vegetables and herbs grown in the small garden, and added fresh chard to our meals.

I used the fully equipped kitchen to prepare our meals. Well appointed kitchen. Also used the washing machine provided. I particularly liked the friendly reception by Nazaret and prompt answers to all our requests/question. She actually provided a map of the park (Monfrague National Park) since we missed the visitor center. She also provided information about the park. This was one of our favorite apartments during our 21-day trip to Spain. Should mention that the apartment we rented was on the ground floor and was pretty large, two bedrooms. We would stay there again. Parking was on the street next to the main entrance. It is a small and relatively safe town so parking on the street was not an issue. Finally we loved the little details such as an nice large bottle of cold water in the refrigerator (it was a very hot day so the cold water was appreciated) and the delicious cupcakes from a local bakery delivered in person by Nazaret.
For travelers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
The location was perfect, with a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. It was wonderfully quiet and you come here to relax completely. The apartment was perfect. An excellent shower, a nice bed with good and large mattresses.
The host lady and gentleman, Amparo and Paco, are super nice and welcoming. Despite the fact that we barely speak Spanish, we got by with hands and feet. We were given a tour, information about the area, the birds and delicious oranges, lemons and eggs. We could not have wished for a better hostess and gentleman.
Friendly, very helpful host, modern comfortable well-equipped apartment with everything you need, including instant hot water all the time and strong WiFi. Peaceful location but only a short drive to motorways and towns along excellent roads. Within short distance of nature reserves. Lots of useful leaflets, maps etc. The roads and even the motorways are very quiet, making driving around so easy. It's only 2.5 hours drive from Madrid Airport.
