The studio apartment was beautiful, with great quality facilities and attention to detail. Everything you need is there and it’s great value for money. Close to the beach. Basic accommodation in a great beachfront location if you are keen to stay in Ayumpe. We felt it was overpriced for what it was, especially when it came to the bed configuration - a mattress on the floor with just a sheet for a bed cover. It is well worth noting in advance that it is a cash only property at there is no ATM in the area (30 minute drive away to get cash out).

For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
The room itself was wild; two stories plus a loft (one room on each floor) in the family room with terrace. We used the top two rooms. The beds were comfortable enough. We enjoyed the balcony (view to the backyard with the ocean off to the side) and the shared terrace on the upper level of the hostel. The shared kitchen is a plus and it was nice to have room for a few small items in the fridge. Short walk to the pier and the Malecon. About 15 minutes walking to the town center and fewer than 10 to the bus stop.
The owner, Marianela, was super friendly, caring, welcoming, helpful and gracious. She made us feel like family and offered to help us with every part of our stay in Puerto Lopez. She even booked our whale watching excursion. The “room” that I stayed at with my 84 year old mother and elderly aunt was more like an apartment with a terrace and beautiful view of the city and the Pacific. It’s a perfect place for a peaceful vacation while still having access to the activities in the city. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone!
A very clean place, nice hosts, a great beach is just at the end of the street 2-3 mins walk.
My hosts arranged all my trips and charged a reasonable price (the same as the agencies) so I didn't need to waste time looking to book my trips elsewhere.
The style of the flat was pretty and there were some basic cooking facilities and a fridge inside.
New and very nice loft style apartments with hot water and air conditioning. Comfortable stay. Smart tv in the bedroom. Cool roof hatch access. Nice little place to stay a little further from the busier downtown part but still walkable to everything.
The studio was nice, and the place is close to the beach. You can enjoy the sunset from the rooftop terrace :)
The best part is the lovely family owning it: They provide great recommdations, and even prepared tea for me, when I was sick.
A perfect little sqeaky clean apartment with everything a person might need. Great kitchen. Wonderful bathroom. Roomy rooftop hangout space with hammocks and couches. Even a library to use. Just over a block to a nice quiet part of the beach.
Giovanni is attentive and a very kind host. He has built an enchanting hideaway. I will return!
Our room was amazing! It was essentially a treehouse with a lofted second floor. There was a hammock in the room that was absolutely lovely to lounge in. Beds had mosquito nets, which was helpful. The property also has the cutest dogs, as well as a parakeet, as pets! Our breakfast on the terrace was lovely and only cost us about $5.
The property was not in central downtown. The bed was comfortable, shower was good, breakfast was excellent. Our room was an apartment with a small kitchen and lovely deck. They had some covered parking.
So blessed to have stayed at patty apartment. Victor and Patricia are amazing host. They go out of there way to make sure your comfterble. Location is good. Close to beach but far away from the center noise. Definitely recommend. Thank you so much!
