First and foremost the host is excellent. She enjoys conversing and more importantly she listens. My wife asked about coconuts from the tree in front. Joanne told us that was actually a neighbor's tree yet the next morning we found two freshly cut coconuts on the terrace!
The view is literally to die for, be it day or night. You really have to see it to believe it.
Breakfast is quite good, especially the fried plantains with fresh chiles.

Rainbow Beach Apartment was perfect for our first night in Dominica! It's a simple place with a great location and everything you need. Susan is a great host - we messaged through WhatsApp and easily coordinated check-in and check-out. She also gave us local recommendations and insight into the cruise ship schedule so we could plan our activities around it. The apartment is downtown Calibishie, right on the ocean. We really enjoyed having coffee on the deck and swinging in the hammock (bring bug spray for the evening). One of the bedrooms has air conditioning which kept us perfectly cool all night. The other one doesn't have AC (there's a fan) and is on the road, so might have some road noise. We ate at Nets of Reef, the restaurant downstairs, twice during our stay because the food was delicious. It's street parking but there's several wide spots right next to the unit and we weren't concerned at all with this. It's about 25 minutes from the airport and less than 10 minutes from the road to Batibou Bay/Number One beaches. Overall it was a great experience!
Note - we were initially a little confused about payment because it was outside of booking.com. We paid via credit card when we got there. You'll have to provide her with your email and pay through a separate site called Tab (which appears as Untouchable Tours on my statement). I didn't see this mentioned in any previous reviews when booking and would've appreciated knowing it's legit!

The owner was very pleasant person. The apartment was located in the lower part of a large villa where the owners live. Even so, it felt very private and the accommodation had its own entrance. From the balcony there was a nice view of the valley and the opposite hill.

Location, location, location!!!!! Cottage was dierectly on the beach with lovely sunsets. Beds were comfortable with mosquitoe net. Staff was responsive once we realized that they do everything by WhatsApp. Organized tours and car rental for us. Very friendly and helpful!!!!! Thank you very much.

This is a great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. My apartment was lovely and suitably equipped, with one balcony overlooking the river and a larger one on the other side. Very quiet location and not far to the nearest beach. The restaurant downstairs does good food although I think that the breakfast was slightly overpriced at US$10 for what you got, but for evening meals the prices were comparable to elsewhere.
The cottage was exactly as I had hoped, set in beautiful gardens with fruit trees that you could pick and eat. The birds and lizards that came to visit us and Pino the dog who lived to lie on our verandah.
The apartment itself is large enough that both couples had their own space when needed.
Trish answered all our questions quickly before we had even arrived and was a fantastic help during our stay.
Super nice staff, very spacious apartment with a living room. Excellent breakfast. They even made us some egg sandwiches for a day we took a tour.
The location is not super central, but we didn‘t mind since we always took a cab or the bus to the beach where you can also find some nice restaurants (Madiba, Purple Turtle). It‘s also close to the Indian River.
