Beautiful location with a view of the lake. Our apartment was very well equipped including a little oven, hob, fridge and lots of space to cook/prepare meals. The shower was hot and you could adjust the temperature which was great for our baby. (Alot of other places we've stayed have just one temperature).
We ate breakfast every morning on the little terrace and even had some friendly bird visitors one morning. There was also space and stools inside if it was not possible to eat outside.
The grounds are well maintained with beautiful flowers. The pool was also nice too. There was parking and the place felt very safe. The entrance was a bit bumpy but still doable even without a 4x4. The property was 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk from the bakery and supermarket.
We drove 45 minutes to an hour for most of the activities around La fortuna but that was ok for us as Nuevo Arenal was quiet and less touristy which is what we wanted.

Our hosts couldn't have been kinder. They organize tours and had helpful information about the area. Beds where comfortable and we enjoyed having 2 bathrooms as we were travelling with friends. The location of the house is excellent and we found some decent restaurants not far from the house on the way into Santa Elena. Parking downtown is virtually impossible at night.
About the included breakfast: there was a breakfast menu with 5 choices for breakfast. The breakfasts were filling and delicious and served with a lovely fresh fruit plate, toast, homemade jams and coffee. We chose the time for our breakfast and submitted our breakfast choices the night before. The house also had a nice selection of teas and coffee from their own farm.

I still can't believe that I got a huge apartment, fully-equipped and with daily cleaning all to myself for this price. The place is very clean and safe, and the kitchen has everything you need. The staff are super nice as well. The location is good with many restaurants and reserves like the Monteverde Butterfly Gardens very close by.
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home.
