The place is really peaceful, full immersed in the nature.
The garden around the propriety and the pool is very well maintained. The trails are also nice. We saw many birds, but you have to go either very early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
The restaurant at the entrance is good and there are supermarkets near by.

YES, you must go there. Great place with lots of activities. Travis took us out in the nice old life boat 'Nicoya Queen'. Went to the prisoner island and Travis made the best lobster we've ever had. Thanks :)
The breakfast is excellent. Nice traditional Tico breakfast or best: Travis' special egg benedict!
Not to forget: You can also borrow canoes and go on a trip yourself.

We stayed in the upper floor with the large windows with view over Montezums. This was the best feature of the suite, it gives free airflow through the suit and is great t spend time watching nightfall. We also we liked the two daybeds and the huge life edge tabke that dominates the kitchen/living area.
The kitchen is basic but has everything that is needed, however there are no condiments such as salt, pepper or oil.
There are two pools on the property, both are little, just 1.5 by 3 meters. The one pool in a nice nature setting, the pool nearest to our room next to the parking lot. Its been clean with no critters.

For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. As I was traveling in low season I was the only person in the hostel. Nevertheless Marvin was always there for me if I needed anything and he even gave me a loft to the ferry. He wrote back immediatly and was very helpful with organizing trips and tours. I didn‘t use the kitchen but from what I saw it had everything you need and was clean.
This apartment was just off the main street but it was quiet. The lane it is on wends its way down to a small stream so there were lots of birds.We also loved the chickens and their babies scratching in the grass and the roosters crowing in the morning . Lovely to have access to stores and restaurants and still feel you are not in a city.
Good location: near to the ferry,bioluminescence tours and to curú wildlife reserve.
This apartment really had it all - A/C, fully equipped kitchen, huge TV that was already logged into a bunch of streaming services (netflix etc.), fast wifi, and parking place under a roof.
We also got all our clothes washed in the industrial grade washing machine that's included.
Daniel was a super friendly host and always quick to reply on Whatsapp when we needed anything.
The apartment was great to stay over a night for a bioluminiscience kayaking trip in the evening and to wait for morning ferry to Puntaneras.
Everything was very new, super large TV, very well equiped kitchen. There is a washing machine (no dryer but there is a private drying area with ropes), parking place for the car, and so on - the apsrtment has pretty much all you need for comfort. Bed and pillows were very comfortable too.

the location is perfect when you go with car and its 10min away from the ferry. it has everything you need for a short stay for example to do a bioluminescence tour. the owner would help you find a tour:)
Marilyn was a super welcoming host, the apartments are both well equipped, the upstairs terrace was a beautiful place to relax in the evening. The apartments were both super clean.
