Well-equipped cottage with outdoor space for the kids to play. Loved the two hammocks! Loads to do in the area. Down the road is a restaurant with a pool, including kids' pool, plus slides. Maxi Palí supermarket, pharmacy etc few minutes' drive away. Loads of beaches around. Bejuco Beach is a ten-minute drive away. It has deeper pockets of pools along the shore which I loved. Also loved Jaco Beach area for shops and restaurants.
Not to be missed: Manuel Antonio National Park. You definitely need a guide - advance booking essential. Lots of wildlife there, including sloths. Also strongly recommend Rainmaker Park. You can swim in the waterfalls and rivers there!
Definitely recommend Casa Cariad. Hosts were really helpful and quick to get back to me when I had questions.

From the time of reservation communication was exemplary and we were provided with a lot of information about the area and things to visit.
We found Mary to be a great host, welcoming, informative and always making sure we had what we needed, while respecting our privacy.
We had everything we needed in our room and the adjacent outside area for cooking and relaxing. There is a little dipping pool, perfect for cooling off throughout the day.
The beach on the other side of the road is lovely, a perfect place to have a coffee in the morning.

The view was amazing, it was very safe, the restaurants had good food, the pool was clean . Access to the ocean was easy.

Seen more wildlife than in Manuel Antonio from the deck and house. The hosting couple was really friendly. Breakfast and lunch menu's are good. A rental car is preferred in this area. Given the low season there were not much taxi's. Luckily the hosts helped us out!
It is located in a quiet place surrounded by nature, and it's really close to restaurants, a grocery store, and the beach.
Private and peaceful, we basically had the entire pool to ourselves.

Location was perfect, loved the beach, the pool and the security of being in a gated community. The apartment featured two full bathrooms which was perfect for two couples. The available beach amenities were a nice touch.
The location of this condo is absolutely perfect!!! We loved the beach! The condo was great for our family of 5, and the fact that there was a washer and dryer in our unit was a lifesaver! Condo was beautifully furnished and even had lots of water toys for our kids to use. Great little hidden gem that we are so happy we found!
The location in front of the beach was simple perfect... all necessary equipment to enjoy the beach is available in the apartment... like chairs.. umbrellas... buggies .. e.t.c... just perfect... sadly the pool was out of service... the air conditioning was great... internet speed was awesome... me and my family were very comfortable.
all went well. hotel in a quiet location, several others nearby, plus gated condo community for San Jose weekenders up the road. small problem for bus passenger arrivals, no shuttle to hotel. but only a 10 minute walk , so not really a deal-breaker. restaurant and liquor store near highway, good food available at reasonable price. hotel rooms have mini-fridges so a cold beer always nice. pool decent size, loungers fine, pool towels available. staff really helpful,
