Christian and his family are so welcoming! We were picked up from Cristian after our travel plans changed. We were accommodated in a lovely room with an extrodenary artwork on the wall, we had a delicious breakfast cocked every morning and had the option of dinner every night. Recommended! Prepared with so much love from Cristians wife ❤️ Cristian also helped us to organise trips to the National park and snorkelling, as well as teaching us about the local wildlife. Wonderful remote place, build with so much love and we felt like family!

Cozy little apartment hotel with a view of the jungle directly from the balcony.
I was able to watch lots of birds and monkeys while drinking coffee at the breakfast table.
The apartments are spacious, equipped with everything you need and very, very clean.
It's only a short walk to the center of Drake and the beach is a comfortable walk away.
Richard and Kendall are friendly and extremely helpful!
The two guys helped me get to Drake Bay and also organized my trips to Corcovado and Isla Caño perfectly.
I didn't have to worry about anything and was able to enjoy my short vacation to the fullest. Everything was reserved before I arrived.
All in all, a great stay!
The hotel is highly recommended!
I will be back soon and this time spend a few days in the wonderful Drake Bay!

It was the best of the best of our stays in Costa Rica!
It is ran by a local family with great hospitality, Rafa and Esther.
We loved the peace & quiet, leash greenery around, the food cooked by Esther, the animals around, the welcoming atmosphere.
Take the full board option, it is fully worth it!
The cabin had a big porched with roof over it, so you can enjoy the outside also if it rains.
There were so many animals to admire from there! Scarlet macaws, two kinds of toucans, soo many birds, also capuchin & spider monkey.
There is also a 3 toed sloth on a tree at their place!
The beach is just 100m away. They will show you which part is safe for swimming.
Agujitas is 1:30hr trek away via San Josecito trail.
We arranged our boat in and out from/to Sierpe plus a day trip to Corcovado park with a great local guide via them.
The fan in our room was strong and we used it on a minimal volume during the night, so AC is not needed.
There wifi was strong. There is really nothing to complain about. We stayed there for 5 nights and felt we could have stayed more.

The apartment is well located and clean, has a kind of private but not secure parking and the AC and Wifi are working great. However, we paid 200 euro/night in low season for three nights in total with a party of four. That being said, we think there were quite a few relatively small things missing that could have made a big difference. Especially considering the price we paid. For instance, there are no blinding curtains (sun rises at 5:30am). The promised toiletries didn’t really meet up to our expectations either, a small peace of soap and two miniature conditioners were all we got (mind you, for 3 days for 4 people). Kitchen is relatively well equipped with pots and pans, a coffee maker and a microwave. But there is no kettle to make a cup of tea and basic things like salt, pepper and oil are missing (tea, coffee and sugar were there). Also two wine glasses and two mugs for a 4 people apartment seems a bit spare. The only table and chairs to sit and eat are the balcony furniture so when it’s too hot to sit outside you have your dinner on the bed? Overall quite some things missing, which can be acceptable, but not for this price. There are plenty of other accommodations nearby that offer way better value for money.
For the extra mugs and cutlery we messaged the owner and he was very friendly and brought us everything within a couple of hours. He also responded very fast.

Stayed in the One-Bedroom Apartment and Double Room with a View. The One Bedroom had a kitchenette on the outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. The fridge was in the unit. 1 king size bed, no tv. Real nice to cook a meal at the kitchen, there is a butcher in the last storefront in town and all the convenience stores have fresh veges.
Kitchen is well stocked and able to cook most everything. Able to relax on the patio overlooking the ocean and watch movies on demand. Shower did not have hot water, but did not seem to mind since so warm, so the shower was refreshing. The air conditioning worked great. Patio had chairs and hammock to relax in.
The Double Room was small and meant for a couple that is comfortable with each other. The WiFi was great, no issues, the router must have been set up correctly as able to stream whatever I wanted. Overlooking the ocean. Shower had plenty of hot water. The Double Room did have fans and by the middle of the night you were comfortable sleeping. Up early to do activities.
Both rooms VERY clean and cleaned daily.
Owner very helpful for whatever you need.
Next time I would take a boat from Sierpe, since you don’t need a car at all in town. Also the road in is 25 km and not well maintained at all, takes over an hour from the main road to go over the unmaintained gravel road to Drake Bay. Also should have a solid spare tire, not a small/donut tire for the road in and out of Drake Bay.

This Casita was perfect for us. We loved the shady, elevated balcony with views of the birds and having cooking facilities and a fridge helped us keep the costs of the trip down. There's a great fruit and veg shop next door
Communication was great, despite our poor Spanish and the boat to/from Sierpe was organised for us and we had a great tour to Corcovado arranged where we saw tapir and ant eaters. Nothing was too much trouble and Drake bay was lovely to spend several days in with lots of toucans, aracari, scarlet macaws...

Fantastic! We splashed out on room 5 and had a superb time. Air conditioning was perfect for the very hot and humid weather and the private pool was excellent - we were in it a lot. The view over the bay was stunning and we were inundated with amazing birds. We loved having a fridge, microwave and coffee machine as it made the whole experience more like an apartment. All in all we had a fabulous 5 nights

Beautiful gardens - lots of birds and wildlife which you can watch from your balcony. Spacious apartment, comfy bed. The owner and his family are amazing. He greeted us at the beach to help us get off the boat and take us and our bags up the hill in his vehicle. Helped arrange our tours and dropped us to the meeting point early for this. Super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We decided to stay an extra night and they arranged for us to move into the bigger apartment as ours was booked out.
Amazing view on the beach from the balcony, especially as we arrived just at sunset - nice and clean apartment, very well equipped - Ideally located to reach any of the meeting points for the different tours - Easy access, reactive host and people who from Martina’s place who helped us check-in were super nice. It’s a bit more expensive than some other options in Drake Bay but more cosy as well.

A well equipped and comfortable holiday apartment just outside of Drake Bay. It was great to be able to cook again. The location is peaceful and relaxing with plenty of wildlife to see, along with some friendly dogs and chickens. Vincent and Gaby are wonderful hosts.
Loved sitting on the balcony watching all the birds, iguanas, monkeys and agoutis that came past, the best view we've had our whole time in Costa Rica! The owners were really friendly and tried to help us as much as they could, providing us with water and putting out bananas to attract the birds. The apartment had everything you needed to cook and was very clean (and cleaned midway through our stay).
The pool was amazing! Hummingbirds all around. The staff was super helpful and friendly! We would definitely recommend the place for short stays at Drake bay.
