The hotel is located in heavily wooded area with a lot of birds and wildlife. My wife wanted to shoot a bird called Quetzal. She had read that this property had a few Quetzals in the woods nearby. They are shy birds so they are very hard to spot. The host did help my wife to find one bird high up in the tree. Earlier that day, my wife went with another guide to spot some Quetzals, so she had a few good pictures. There is a good restaurant within a short driving distance from the property. They serve good meals at reasonable prices.

The owners were amazing for everything, they went beyond to make us feel comfortable, like, at home! it is a beautiful apartment located close to stores and all you need. It's on the way to San Jose, there is Volcanoes to go visit and the town is beautiful. Also the view from the kitchen is just mountains. I loved it there. Beautiful house in the middle of the Dota valley. You can't beat having a 180 degree view. The apartment is very modern and clean. Parking is right outside. It's very quiet and we even saw glow worms at night. The area is good for bird watching.
