It was an amazing learning experience. First time when one reviews the site's pictures and see a hot tub and then a sauna to find out that they were charging 60 Euros for 90 minutes in the hot tube and likewise something similar for the sauna! Amazing...I'm surprised they didn't charge for bed sheets and towels :-(. Also, just assume that the unit that you will rent will not have any photographs within their advertised site. Thus, don't expect high ceilings or large windows, one can expect sort of a dingy cave like experience - but that was my fault - should have assumed there would be deception. Like I said, thanks to Otium I learned a lot about how NOT to make a booking and just assume the worst.

A very friendly host. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a jacuzzi and big and comfortable bed. There were two ventilators which helped immensely with the heat. The noise isolation is very good. Very good location, 5mins walk from Interlaken West train station, 10mins walk from the city center.

The host Eva was certainly very hospitable lady. She stay in the same building and check-in is simple. The apartment is well equip and all essentials is available, from cooking cutlery till tourist information. View from the room overlook the lake. Car park is just in front of the house. Lovely, light apartment with a gorgeous view of the lake. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunset each night, I didn’t want to leave! It’s a short drive from Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen but quieter and without the crowds so it was nice and peaceful. Easy check in process with good clear instructions.
Eva is an amazing host. She makes you comfortable immediately on arrival. The view from the apartment was amazing. She upgraded us to an apartment with a gorgeous view.
The family are lovely and make you feel at home immediately. Their hospitality made our holiday so perfect.
Practicality wise, the room is immaculate with lots of homely touches. And most importantly the shower is good and the bed is comfy!!
The location is ideal. We hired a rental car and were no more than 30 minutes from anywhere we wanted to be.
