I liked the rather remote location, kind of at the bottom of a ravine, at the end of the road. The A-frame unit was part of a house (maybe with other guests), but felt completely separate because of its entry orientation. The unit was spacious, cozy, clean, and comfortable. It was among our favorite places to stay in three weeks of traveling.
The breakfast was generous and delicious; the outdoor setting was enjoyable. Wish we hadn't eaten dinner before arriving the night before; I'm sure it would have been wonderful. I also recommend going on a little hike on the trail/road at the park that is there.
You arrive at the restaurant and the fellow (owner, family member of the owners?) running things was very personable and between my marginal French and his slightly more than marginal English we communicated adequately. Clearly, he wanted his guests to feel at home, and we did.

We loved the friendliness of the owners, available and very knowledgable about the different hiking paths around the hotel and in Creux de Van. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and the fondue was one of the best I have had.
The hotel was very cozy, and the remote location make it pretty special.
