The location was right in Kingscote where we wanted to be. The apt was available which was good as we booked last minute. It was clean, had a place for the car. The kitchen was well stocked with plates etc. Appreciated the there was coffee and milk available when we arrived. The owner was responsive when we had questions and wanted us to be comfortable.

Location was excellent - within walking distance of EVERYTHING from supermarket, pubs and service stations to cafe's and the beach. The shower is roomy and the provided hand/body washes and shampoo smell devine! The place is set back from the road so noise is minimal. The free wifi had excellent speeds.

Key collection was super convenient. It meant we were free to explore the island all day and check in at a time that suited us. Messages from the owners were informative, helpful and friendly. We were only in the house to sleep so we didn’t get to use kitchen and laundry but it was great to have the option. The people in the place next door were really friendly too.
For travelers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
There were two meal areas, the restaurant which was a la carte and the bar which was typical bar food. Both were above average. The room had wheelchair access, as did all the main areas, (not necessary for us, but good to have) and was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The view across the lagoon was amazing and watching sunrise each morning was fantastic. Staff went beyond to be of assistance.

The location in American River is amazing. It is very peaceful and relaxing. There are many birds to listen to and watch.

Everything! Staying at this property was one of the highlights of the trip for my mom and I. We were met on arrival by Kevin and Millie the dog, who did a thorough inspection to make sure the property was in ship shape!
The apartment itself is comfortable,clean, spacious and beautifully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning, and, if you’re a nature lover like myself, you’ll love all the Black Cockatoos and other native birds who frequent the trees on the property.
