We had completed the Theth to Valbone hike and this was our one night stay at the end.
We had a private, clean, comfortable room with a clean bathroom just outside of our door.
Our host was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating.
As we hadn't collected any provisions on our way to the guesthouse, we asked if dinner was possible, which it was (for a very reasonable price).
Our host also kindly offered us a coffee, which was brought to our room.
Dinner and breakfast was freshly made, home cooked food that we ate downstairs in their home. It was all delicious and generous. Our host even wrapped up our spare doughnuts to go for our return journey to Shkodër.
This was our most local stay and felt more like a homestay, which was a really rewarding experience that we both really valued.

For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. The host was really helpful and actually called the bus driver who took us to Tirana the next day, to confirm departure times. Also, there was free water a fridge next to the apartments, which really saves you if you get to Bajram Curri late.
This was a great two-day base for Valbone. There are restaurants and coffee shops nearby and strew parking was never an issue. The apartment spacious with balconies on both sides but no seating on the balconies.
Full kitchen, washing machine and clothesline were useful.
