Situated in Tainan, less than 1 km from Tainan Confucius Temple, Mulan Light Inn features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. Perfect location, with walking distance from cultural sites or markets. There is a street with many small restaurants (one just became famous according to Michelin) just at the entrance of the hotel. I had a blast !

In the West Central District district of Tainan, close to Chihkan Tower, Chapter 127 features a shared lounge and a washing machine. Very nice place to stay with lovely staff. We had a massive room and there was a washing machine in the King Suite that was quite useful to do laundry, however a clothesline to hang clothes would have been appreciated. The room is very clean and comfortable. There is a luggage storage facility which is great and easy to use. We had an issue with the room key not working at the entrance and they were very responsive on Line. There’s a little plastic door on the card reader and you’re supposed to open it even though sometimes it works fine without opening it. The wifi is very good, we were working remotely and had video calls and had no connection issues. Highly recommend Chapter 127 for anyone who needs a place to stay in Tainan.

Great little alleyways, full submersion into the culture (also easy to get lost which is part of the fun of travelling to another country 😁). No people contact, communication via Line App. Need to pay 3 days in advance instead of on the day. Overall, great place at a great price!
