The apartment is so wonderfully appointed with care and craftsmanship. We loved the outside patio. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. This hotel was originally built in the early 20th century, But a remodel has the inside looking like a minor version of the Grand Hotel Budapest in the movie--but the subdued version shown at the beginning and end of the movie. Lobby and corridors are clean but drab: dull oranges and browns. Rooms are simple but at least some have a kitchenette. A postcard in the lobby shows the lobby before the remodel. I would rather have stayed in that version of this hotel.

A self-contained apartment situated within the Hotel de Sources, this accommodation had an equipped kitchenette and an en suite bathroom. Lots of space with a sitting area, a desk and a small dining table. Our apartment overlooked the park and was very quiet. There is parking just outside and a restaurant if you would like to eat there. We used the kitchen which was perfect. We would definitely stay there again.

This residence is 3 km from La Viotte Train Station and 4 km from the centre of Besançon. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a bar and a garden. Quiet (might be less so during school term); comfortable twin beds; good reading lights blocked from other bed by wardrobes, switched from bed, as was overhead (but maybe from only one of the beds); big, en suite, shower room with WC. The morning clerk spent time making sure we got on the right road for our next destination.
