The glass windows & doors all closed properly to keep out mosquitoes, etc. day or night. The pool is a short walk from the unit and there is an outdoor shower which you are asked to use before swimming. It only works if the tap/potable water is running in rental unit #6. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the kitchenette worked fine. I didn't use the other appliances, so I can't comment on them. There is an instant hot water appliance under the sink, so ample hot water for showers and washing dishes (if the tap water is running).
