This was a great hotel - as it is an aparthotel, the rooms were large with separate bedroom with a large king size bed. We had just come from a tour of the more remote areas of Bolivia where accommodation was very basic, so the relative luxury of this hotel was very welcome. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the city. There are a lot of dining options in the area and it is close to a cable car station with access to various parts of the city
I enjoyed my stay in the Alcala Apart Hotel in La Paz very much. I had a very spacious apartment with bathroom, living and bedroom. The shower was good (hot) and also the Wi-Fi was of good quality. The breakfast was excellent. I had a rental car so for me it was important to have a private parking.
The room was large and self catering was an option and the fridge had various drinks and snacks with a price list. The location was very close to Basilica of Saint Francis, about 3 mins walk downhill. So there were tourist shops around and loads of tour agencies around. The staff could also organise tours for you as well. Various places to eat around as well, a couple of really nice places including Hay Pan, New Curry House and Ichurri
