Condo hotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but include kitchen facilities for a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). These suite-style accommodations usually have more than 10 units per property.
Loved the self fill private hot pool, the heated towel rail was an unexpected bonus. Perfect for self catering with a real oven, range of kitchen utensils, and a small fridge with a small freezer for ice cream. Super comfy bed and very clean. Enjoyed late afternoon drinks on balcony (in June!), set back from road so not a lot of traffic noise.
Excellent location, very bright spacious, comfortable, well equipped unit, spotlessly clean. The way the mutts are set, all have balconies with good outdoor seating. The kitchen area was fabulous, everything you need for self catering.
Loretta the Manager was amazing, so friendly, polite and helpful. Kylie on reception was very helpful and efficient.
All in all a great stay, I’d definitely stay there again next time I’m in Taupo.
Perfect hotel, perfect location, perfect view - a lovely lakeside apartment hotel. Attractive landscaping surrounds about 20 rooms in this 2 story complex. Ours was on the second floor with a straight out view of the lake. I loved everything about this place - including the reception staff who proved both informative and helpful. And after settling in we walked the two minutes to the compact and lovely downtown.
Nice and close to the Ironman Competition. We had 6 adults = grandparents, parents and 2 adult couple and plenty of room for all. Had everything we needed for self catering.
Our favourite accommodation of six we used during a 2 week holiday touring the north island. Friendly welcoming hosts, clean modern room (we had 5 nights in room 11) with uninterrupted view of lake Taupo and the three snow covered mountains beyond. Self catering is possible through we chose to make the most of the numerous eateries in town many of which are within walking distance. We would stay here again.
We have just finished a world tour and have stayed in many countries and different types of accommodation. This was probably the best self-catering place for 2 people we stayed in. Very comfortable, spotless, very well designed and obviously everthing thought about carefully. Excellent equipment - especially the dishwasher! Very quiet and peaceful. Able to see the stars at night as no light pollution. Very easy drive from Taupo.
