Ideal for travellers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Aparthotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but are self-catered with a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). This suite-style accommodation usually has more than 10 units per property.
The location was amazing - you are so close to the lake and church and the town is just a few minutes walk away across the footbridge - and it’s beautiful views all the way. The property is cosy, and well equipped if you’re self catering. It’s easy access to the Tekapo Springs and Roundhill and Ohau Skifield. Plenty of restaurants in within walking distance and a great supermarket for all your self catering needs.
Attention to detail. Our host LuLu had thought of everything..from a sensor detecting heat pump, sandals for the house, extra pillows and blankets and a dedicated Netflix channel for our unit! Loved the warm cozy home-like vibes of the decor, couch cushions and cute accent pieces. The house is a new build and therefore everything is modern
It is very clean, well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. Everything is so homey. The accessible bathroom is a bonus for our elderly family members. The host is also very kind and responsive, sending us reminder and everything we need to know. Among the eight different accommodations (motels, serviced apartment, hotels etc.) I stayed during my 2-week New Zealand trip, this place is on the top two :) Highly recommended!
