The view of the Kaikoura range was jaw dropping! The room was spacious and well cleaned. It's more of a service apartment style where you can cook which I thoroughly appreciate. The room was well supplied with coffee, cooking utensils, cups, plates and other essentials. The bed was comfortable. Parking is available. Easy check-in and check out. It was also walking distance to many food places and town centre. I highly recommend this place!
Breathtaking views from a clean spacious room close to town and railway station made it a great stop-over stay with self-catering facilities to do your own thing which is always a bonus when travelling.
Get an upstairs room if you can carry your bags up as the view over snow-capped mountains is well worth it.

Quiet, close to the Peninsula for walking. We could drive easily closer to town for evening meal and drinks. Very helpful host. Really liked having a cooktop for self catering.
