Fantastic stay in Kyoto! The hotel room was so large and roomy, especially after being in Tokyo. Nice to have a couch to lounge on, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean. A/C unit in each room that could be adjusted. The shower and bath were fantastic, located in their own room so lots of space, great water pressure. Was nice to have a washing machine in the room to do some mid-trip laundry. The shower room had a clothes drying option on the control panel outside (hotel provided a book of English translated instructions for all the controls in the room, also used google translate app). Room had a full refrigerator/freezer, and kitchen (did not use while there). The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is located a bit outside the main Kyoto tourist stops, but it was a super quick walk to Takeda station, which was only a few stops away from Kyoto station and it was quick and easy to get around anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel is also close to the Fushimi Inari shrine area. Loved staying here! Would absolutely stay again, highly recommend!

Location was amazing as it is so close to the Yasaka Pagoda area. Although it is in a busy touristy area, it does get more quiet once you just turn off the main road.

Exceptional! Everything about our stay was perfect. The location was quiet and residential, but with easy access to public transport and walks to temples, museums and the historic district. The BEST antique shop was just around the corner! As were cozy cafes, a French bakery, and yakitori...all non touristy and divine. Our room was spacious! Loved having the table for impromptu card games or meals if we were snacking from the family mart (shockingly good food...and a microwave is available in the lobby). Loved this hotel!

We were greeted at checkin time, and shown to our room. He made the the futons for us promptly as it was nearing bed time, and showed us how to use all the room features. Amazing customer service. The beds were comfortable and the hotel is very new, clean, and modern. Location was great, a bit of a walk up hill but perfect for visiting the nearby temple. Easy to catch a bus elsewhere in the city.

Spacious family room with everything you need. walking distance to the center of Kyoto with a quiet neighborhood. On 1F we even have a shared little garden. Super happy with this apartment hotel. Will come back again for our next Kyoto trip.
Zen Kyoto Apartment hotel was beautiful. We stayed on the top floor. Our room had a living room, two dining areas, a kitchen, two beds, and bathroom. It was spacious for a Japanese hotel. It is located about 3 minutes from the Takeda station. Every one of the staff members that we interacted with was extremely helpful, and kind. It is not close to many tourist attractions, but that is something that we enjoy as it was very quiet for our stay.
