The owner designed this hotel and his wife is potter who made the sink and plates. There is a book about the hotel in the room. I could see their love and professionalism by staying there.
The food from the cafe was delicious too.

Roomy serviced apartment style accommodation with a modern twist. Beds a little firm but typical of Japan. Entry was easy as was checkout. It's a 5-10 minute walk to Beppu train station. Convenience store nearby. Has a kitchentte and washing machine. Would recommend.
Its a traditional Japanese building. Quite an authentic place and we are pleased to stay here.
The architecture is like falling back to old time that we usually see it in the movie.
Hotel services was good with well English speaking reception.
Onsen was good.
1. Hotel ryokan style with big room and a small terrace (indoor) for tea and sea view. It offers ryokan style with hotel-liked service.
2. Onsen area has sea view and outdoor zone. It opens up to midnight, so we had no problem coming back to the hotel late.
3. Breakfast is delicious.
4. Staffs are very polite and friendly.
