The location is amazing. It’s very close to several stations, including Okachimachi, which gives access to the Yamanote subway line (and other lines), and the big Ueno station (which gives access to Shinkansen and several trains). There are also great food spots nearby, including cafes and combinis. Another great aspect of this hotel is that it has an in-room washer/drier, which is very handy.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel, thanks to the wonderful host, Min. He was responsive and friendly from the start. I had my luggage transferred from another hotel, and Min kindly accepted the delivery and even carried my heavy bags up to the 3rd floor—something I didn’t ask for, but really appreciated! I woke up to find my luggage outside my door, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Min runs a cafe attached to the hostel, where my friend and I enjoyed chatting with him. There was also a lovely lady at the hostel who always greeted us and offered helpful advice. Both Min and she made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of.
The facilities were basic but good—washers, dryers, and a small kitchen with dishes, a sink, and a microwave. I didn’t use the kitchen, but it’s a nice option. Inside the room, there’s a mini-fridge, cups, and toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toothbrushes. The room also had a TV and a remote-controlled heater/fan—great for winter. Instructions on the walls were helpful.
The hostel is clean, tidy, and cozy. I stayed on a futon for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was—I actually looked forward to it each night! A quick note: no shoes are allowed inside the hostel, but slippers are provided, and there's a shelf for your shoes at the door.
Location is great! It’s a 12-15 minute walk to the nearest station, in a quiet residential area with hotels and love hotels nearby. It’s a peaceful break from the busy Shinjuku/Shibuya area, offering a more local experience. While there’s no convenience store right outside, it’s refreshing to explore a quieter part of Tokyo. Min’s cafe downstairs is perfect for breakfast, and the French toast was delicious!
One last perk: Min is happy to store your luggage after check-out if needed.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy, affordable, and welcoming place to stay in Tokyo!

Love the location, amazing view from the 8th floor over the Ueno railway tracks to watch all the trains (excellent for an 11 year old boy) and there was no noise. Easy location to find even without working phone. The room was good for one adult and two children . Great hot water. Easy check in without reception staff, no problem.
Ideal for travelers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Condo hotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but include kitchen facilities for a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). These suite-style accommodations usually have more than 10 units per property.
