My Loft, hotel in Ferrara

Providing city views, My Loft is located in the Ferrara Old Town district of Ferrara, 200 metres from Ferrara Cathedral and less than 1 km from Diamanti Palace.

The location was perfect - easy to find and in the centre but the apartment was very quiet. We booked as our daughter and friend were going to a concert which was 10 minutes walk away. We used the opportunity to explore Ferrara and the apartment was perfectly located and close to restaurants and shops as well as the main tourist spots. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and well laid out and the building was beautiful.

APPARTAMENTI del DUCA, hotel in Ferrara

Set in Ferrara, 1.4 km from Ferrara Cathedral, APPARTAMENTI del DUCA offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out.

Great communication with the host who provided useful information and photos to assist us in finding and accessing the property. They explained where to park and we found this easily. It wasn’t far from the car park to the apartment though it may be an issue for people with mobility issues. Also the bedrooms were not at ground level and the only toilet was on the ground floor so that could also be an issue for some. No problems for us. Dog-friendly - there were even 2 bowls ready to welcome our girl.

Everything including tourist sights, restaurants, etc., was less than 15 min walk away. The receptionist and Leonardo were very friendly and welcoming and even though they didn’t have breakfast it was very well-appointed for self-catering. The garden was a lovely place to eat breakfast and sit in the afternoon and evening.

I loved this place; my room was essentially a kitchen (with a full-size fridge-freezer) with a single bed, but that was fine as I was self-catering. It also has a lovely terrace. Inez, the lady who let me in was very nice. The location was great; Ferrara isn’t very big, so it was easy to get around on foot, but if one is driving, there is plenty of off-street parking. I had a lovely time

This studio apartment has been tastefully refurbished with careful thought. The location is absolutely central but the windows and external blinds effectively block any imposition from the street at night. The well equipped kitchen makes self-catering a practical option. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom modern but with a slow draining shower. Silvia is a courteous and efficient hostess. An enjoyable 4 night stay.

Top room was comfortable, but no self catering and nothing like the pictures of the other apartments, and not worth over £100 a night

The room is beautifully appointed, kitchenette in a cupboard very neat and reasonably equipped, bang in the centre but quite quiet at night. Owner welcoming and helpful. For self catering it couldn't be better placed - there's a supermarket downstairs, salumeria next door, pasticceria nearby. There's a list of recommended restaurants; we enjoyed the food and the vibe at the Savonarola (twice).

The quirky amazing interpretation of self-catering was beguiling. But be warned ...
