It was really pretty. The Room was very good positioned. I like it.
The family came to pick us up at the port and drove our luggage up to the house whilst Michael took us on a mini tour of the old town in Skopelos, which was an excellent idea, as he made sure that we were completely sure of what was important areas such as restaurants, the pharmacy, the Paralia, and the closest supermarket and most important the easiest way to get to the house in the maze of the old town. The breakfast the next morning was unexpected, as it is a self catering apartment, but it was delicious and much appreciated.
This is the perfect place if you want to get away and enjoy village life. It is nestled at the top of the town and has a gorgeous view from the terrace. Gracious and welcoming hosts and neighbors who were always available should you have a question. Everything available for self-catering flat.
I moved on the next night to some «luxury» accommodation on another island and to be honest I would have rather prolonged my stay at Kastro.
This was a self catering house half way up the back streets of Skopelos. We made our own breakfast with the use of the excellent facilities. The neighbors are wonderful and chatty (this has now prompted me sign up for Greek language lessons as would love to know what they were chatting about). Three or four of them would meet at one of their houses and chat and chat and laugh.Their laughter reverberating down the ally way.
The Villa was self-catering and had everything you needed in every room. The pool was fabulous and private. The outside space and balcony / patio were huge and well furnished, with amazing sea and town views. Plenty of parking spaces. Hosts were extremely welcoming and met us at the Villa to explain everything and let us know how we could contact them if we needed anything at all. It is located within a 10-minute stroll to the town.
The Villa and pool was beautifully clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. Katerina, the host, was very welcoming and helpful and happy to be contacted for any reason. She left many special touches like a food basket and high quality toiletries. The views were amazing and location was quiet and peaceful. It is perfect for anyone wanting an 'away from it all' break.
