We were a little mystified at breakfast,as we were the only customers, and it wasn't a buffet. The waitress turned up about 10 minutes late, so we were trying to get into a locked room. When she turned up we expected maybe fresh rolls , coffee and ham/ ham etc. what she brought us was coffee ,juice, butter and cake and jams. Then disappeared , so I went and asked for milk. She brought milk , then a toasted ham & cheese sandwich, then after another 5 minutes a boiled egg apiece. In the end it was a good breakfast, but a menu presented at the beginning would have cleared up our expectations.

Everything! Nikos is a very nice guy, always ready to help. He gave us the best room (Nr. 4 in the 1st floor, with a big terrace and a sea view), and cleaned it every day very carefully. Water pressure is perfect, hot water always available, air condition works well, room is spacious. There are noises in the night (as mentioned in other reviews for this hotel and the others in Palekastro), but definitely not so disturbing that we couldn't sleep well (with the doors and windows closed, of course).
If we manage to come back to Palekastro again, we will definitely stay here! If you are not looking for a 5 star hotel, I recommend you to give it a try.

This place is so cool just be warned, There’s no plugs in the rooms so the electricity is solar. It’s awesome to disconnect for a day or two or a week. And be wary of Google Maps because she will attack you and send you to the middle of nowhere.

Nice sized rooms with good self catering facilities. Popular beach bar at entrance to the apartments was a pleasant place for breakfast and drinks. Short walk along pavement or beach into main Sitia town.
There was no breakfast, it's a block of self-catering studios. It was excellent value for money, which is why I wouldn't complain about a few niggles, which over forty years of staying in studios and apartments, we've always encountered. Sheets were spotlessly clean and towels were in good supply.
The Henhouse is set in a lovely large garden with fruit trees and chickens and we had a little family of cats in the garden who we adopted during our stay.
The house is very comfortable, tastefully decorated and has everything you could need for self catering, although there are plenty of restaurants in town and a couple in the village up the road.
Our host Manos was the best, so helpful and friendly.

We thought the location and view were wonderful and suited us perfectly. It is however a 20 minute walk from the restaurants and bars which maybe an issue for some especially as taxis later in the evening were not easy to come by. The 'House' was very nice and well appointed with a lovely patio and all the appliances necessary for self catering and an extended stay. A welcome hamper and water, juice etc in the fridge were much appreciated.
Self catering no meals provided. Appreciated comp bottle of wine and box of biscuits. Located 1 km from main swimming beach and restaurants. So needed to walk or take a taxi E5 each way. Liked this modern, spacious argument with 2 balconies. Cleaned every 4 - 5 days. Stunning views of Sitia Bay.
Our beautiful, large, leafy and airy apartment had two balconies and a fully equipped kitchen, definitely more than suitable for a week or more self-catering. The lounge area had a beautiful fireplace, sofa and dining table and lots of floor space. Views over Sitia and the surrounding countryside are stunning and the beach is about 2 minutes walk away, tops. The host was very friendly and very easy to reach via phone.
Sitia Bay can not be faulted in any way. Exceptionally clean, beautifully presented. Owner run and managed and taking great pride in what they offer. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and snax offering. Serviced beach beds as well as an immaculate pool area. So many added extras in the rooms which have full self catering facilities with high quality fitments. It is the best place to stay in Sitia for a wonderful break. Book early so you are not disappointed.
