The owner couldn't do more to make us comfortable. She even picked us up and later drive us back to the port for free. Gave us a super price for her car rental. The flat had ever you convenience, even a washing machine. See

Great buffet breakfast, in a perfect hotel away from the hustle and bustle of chora (although easy to get a busy too)! The staff were so friendly and even got me a cake as it was my birthday during the stay. Would definitely stay again if coming back to Ios (favourite island that we visited in the Cyclades)

We fell in love with Ios and the main reason of it is Petra village and its staff. We stayed 4 days but it wasn’t enough for this beautiful hotel and island.We recommend to anyone who is looking for an unforgettable stay.

It is a family run hotel. Alexander "the great!" and his wife couldn't have been more welcoming. The hotel is in a good location, (bus stop right near hotel), with a beautiful view. We had the best Greek omelets we've ever had, every morning. Pool is very clean and refreshing! We highly recommend the Golden Sun if you go to Ios!

We loved everything about our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the outside patio with the pool was amazing, and the staff felt like family. The location was also perfect. Right next to the town, local food spots, the bus station, and an atv rental shop. We’d especially love to thank Angela (Thea), who welcomed us and made sure we were making the most out of our stay on Ios.
