Supermarket, boutique stores & plenty restaurants, a 5-minute walk away, which includes Kalamakis for great BBQed chicken, pork & lamb skewers, where locals eat, and the pizza place next door to Kalamakis, is really good.

This compact self-catering accommodation was ideal for a short stay. The facilities were excellent and, whilst we never met the proprietor, she responded helpfully and promptly to all our queries. The area of Heraklion was a pleasant and civilised suburb within walking distance of the centre. The air-conditioning worked well and we heard very little noise from outside.
Afroditi was a great hotel with a great location in the middle of old town. Owner, Yannis, was super helpful, he assist you at every step of the journey. The room was nice designed like an apart hotel, complete with kitchens and all necessary amenities, which added to the convenience and comfort. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and memorable experience in Crete.
You do your own breakfast in a very well equipped kitchen. The place is really set up for self catering but if you only stay 1-2 nights a is hardly worth it.
My studio was great, huge and very clean. What's more, the price for the accommodations was incredibly reasonable, considering the high level of comfort and amenities provided. I am already planning to return for more days, as this aparthotel has become my go-to choice for future trips.
I absolutely loved my stay at this incredible aparthotel! The location couldn't have been more perfect, with the Heraklion Archaeological Museum just a short distance away. The 24-hour front desk staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The rooms were spacious and modern, with a balcony offering stunning city views. The free WiFi was a great bonus, and having a fully equipped kitchen was so convenient. I'm wholeheartedly endorsing this to everyone. It's highly commendable!
Superb room, with TV provided entertainment, and the bathroom was impeccable, complete with free toiletries and a hair dryer. The attention to detail, from the comfortable bed linen to the fluffy towels, was truly impressive. Plus, being just a stone's throw away from Heraklion Port and Koules added to the overall convenience. I can't wait to return to this wonderful aparthotel!
A lovely spacious apartment. We chose this apartment as its out of the centre of town yet only a 10 min walk to the City and Port. Apartment was spotless and had everything you need for self catering, we however ete out at the numerous local restaurants. Great communication with host who organised transport and advice on local beaches. We had a great time. Oh and complimentary blaclava on arrival
