Fantastic choice! I was looking for a place to surprise my girlfriend and this hit the mark!
It is not often that a hotel you see online meets or exceeds your expectations. This one exceeded all expectations. The photos were very true to form. The hotel still has the charm of an old Germany building but the interior is newly renovated and very well done. Everything was perfect! I splurged for the sauna and it was great. We used it everyday! A hotel with a sauna is great....having one in your room is even better!
Customer service was exceptional! Breakfast was also perfect! Conveniently located in a charming village next to the Königstein Fortress and Lilienstein, both nice hikes from the hotel. Additionally there are many places to hike in the vicinity. Very important...they are pet friendly.

Everything was lovely. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The location is great - if you have a car! We were on bicycles which meant it was difficult (uphill) to get to but otherwise the property has everything you would need for a self-catering holiday.
