Ideal for travellers who want their own space and don’t need frills. Aparthotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but are self-catered with a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). This suite-style accommodation usually has more than 10 units per property.
We stayed in an apartment which was very spacious. Although it was an unusual building and layout, it was comfortable and clean. There was a fair amount of kitchen equipment but it's not really set up for a large amount of self-catering. Good location very close to the town.
Whole property was well maintained with staff always cleaning and gardening.
Shared kitchen was great for self catering and cups of tea.
Room was nice and would have been a lovely view of the volcano but was cloudy for our stay.
Fantastic location to take advantage of the tours, sites and experiences of La Fortuna and Arenal away in the hills and away from the touristy centre of La Fortuna.
Arenal Palacios impressed with its prime location and the beautiful, new house. The pool area is well-maintained and inviting. The excellent kitchen equipment is particularly noteworthy, ideal for self-catering. A thoroughly enjoyable stay for those who appreciate comfort and independence
Great place! Incredibly kind host and volunteers, will go out of their way to help you and generally there's a cozy home-like atmosphere. The place is quite new, so super tidy and neat, with a very well equipped kitchen! Got great recommendations for acitivities and had an overall wonderful stay. Can recommend!!
Really spacious accommodation, with everything you would need for a self-catering trip. The casa is in secure grounds with electronic gate.
The owners live on the first floor and are always available if you need any assistance.
Great location and we stayed longer than most (6 nights). All suites had a great view of Arenal due to the property layout. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the front desk to the food service and housekeeping. Everyone embraced "Pura Vida".
Great staff, calming atmosphere and fantastic views. Self-catering kitchen was useful, didn't feel obliged to have the paid for breakfast. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and not overlooked by anyone else it felt very peaceful and secluded.
