Super friendly host, comfortable bed, nice hot water. Great location, especially if you are taking the bus. Salento is small, you can walk everywhere. Really yummy Mexican restaurant next door, and a small tienda for some basic needs. Anywhere in Salento will be "loud" to stay at, I always bring earplugs with me wherever I travel and I play white noise, so I wasn't phased by it. A little kitchen and fridge gave me everything I needed.

Rude staff, bugs in the room including two lizards, hot with no air conditioning and it seemed to have been badly painted in the 1970’s. The web site said 2nd story balcony, book now. There was no second story building. I called booking.con to complain. The manager opened the door to my rented room, entered and got loud and rude. I lasted 1 1/2 hours in the room and I requested a refund. The manager said no so I left. I would never recommend this hotel.
