Best of both worlds: large apartments, hotel service, large beautiful garden, nice swimming pool. A very cozy place , very little people around, very friendly staff. Walking distance from Ascona. We were in a rush while leaving and forgot few things at the hotel.. and they sent those back to our home address without any fees.

The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. I also got a dinner in the hotel restaurant, it was quite good . The swimming pool is warm, ideal for relaxing and it is open until quite late in the evening. Everything is very quiet, so if you’re looking for a peaceful place to relax , I would recommend this one.

The location was good, close to the main square. (Note that there are two separate properties advertised in this listing. The address given to you on Booking when you book is not the address of the apartment nor of the shop where you check in.)
When I requested that someone come over and close the bathroom window for me (you have to climb up to do so and I was afraid of falling) because a construction worker was standing next to it they came over quickly.

Condo hotels/serviced apartments have some hotel facilities like a reception desk but include kitchen facilities for a place to cook (e.g. a kitchenette). These suite-style accommodations usually have more than 10 units per property.
This apartment is very well equipped for self-catering. It is spacious and modern with a wonderful view of Lake Lugano from the balcony.
The regular local bus and good supermarkets are within walking distance.
Our hosts Dario and Carolin very kindly picked us up from the train station as our heavy luggage would have made it difficult to carry to the property. Dario also gave us useful tourist advice.
The location was great. It is a studio apartment, so self catering was possible. In addition, given the location, there are many options for great meals. The apartment is nicely furnished -- my wife approved of the decoration :-).
