Location Location. It is so close to the Needle, the Museum of Pop, Monorail station and the park. Cafes and supermarket very close too. All walking distance. The neighborhood is tranquil and the building was quiet. Access to the apartment was a breeze and we had a set of keys and fob waiting for us inside. The apartment was very clean and tidy with a nice balcony overlooking the street. Rooms were clean and tidy with very comfy beds. with two bathrooms which made it very convenient for us 4 adults. The kitchen is well equipped and there is also a washer and dryer. We had a little issue with the fans but hosts responded real quickly. There is no a/c but it was still cool (May) so we had no problem. Great communication with the host and their team the whole time. We were only there for 2 nights but if I'm ever back in Seattle, I'd love to stay here again. Highly recommended!
The city exceeded my expectations. Hard to narrow down anything in particular as everything was wonderful. Restaurants, hotel, Markets. Take the ferry to Bainbridge Island and enjoy the views of Seattle and the Olympic Mtns. and Mt. Rainier-on a clear day...we did see it! Chinatown area is a bit sketchy, sadly. We did have a delicious lunch there, though! One thing I didn't realize until arrival is how steep the city is-this may be an issue for anyone with ambulation issues. Rideshare services were cheap and available. Great city-will spend more time there one day as we were just in town for a cruise and had only allotted ourselves 2 full days. Oh, and don't miss the Space Needle and ESPECIALLY Dale Chihuly Gardens right next to it!
Our second trip to Seattle. I appreciate how efficient the transit system was. Every bus and train we took was on time. This time we visited the Museum of Illusion and really enjoyed all the fun photo opportunities and the staff's assistance in helping set up the shots
The city is clean and there are parts that are walkable but everywhere we went there were homeless people on the streets. I didn’t feel safe walking. We saw several people laying on the ground with their bottoms out.
I have visited Seattle multiple times for business and vacation and have always loved the city. My previous visit was in 2018 and the city has gone down considerably. Lots of businesses and restaurants have closed, including Macys!(may be following Covid). The Pike Place Market is still fun and full of food , crafts, flowers and restaurants. However, the fun Market contrasts with Pike Street between 3rd and 2nd Ave which is full of homeless smoking heroine or crack cocaine openly. Sad that the government doesn't provide facilities for them and provide housing and drug rehab. Such a waste of life. Spoke with a number of people who said they would not be back and I am inclined to agree.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Belltown Inn. We got to meet fellow cruisers who were just returning or about to embark their cruise lines. I found the opportunity to leave some of our cold weather gear (from the plane and from over purchases or extra sweaters we packed to give the homeless in the area. They were very appreciative as it was about to get very cold. Just be careful because some of them were on the other side of the road using drugs. It was nighttime so we were very careful. Barolo Restaurant was awesome! The Columbia Center Sky Observatory was so much better than how I remembered the Space Needle but if you want to dine in, the Space Needle was a rich experience. Def the PIKE Market. The 3 Women Bakery is a definite yes for us. Super popular.
It was easy to walk around the city, street names easy to grasp, it was easy for me to get myself around the city. Major tourist attractions including space needle, water front, pop culture museum, and others were easy to locate and visit Not a great shopping city people are kind and helpful, weather was great it was easy to move around by uber and regular taxi
