Steps from the Seattle Center arts and entertainment district and the famous Space Needle, this hotel in the centre of Seattle, Washington offers guestrooms with coffeemakers and 42-inch flat-screen... I liked the promontory to our friends’ home. It was the most reasonable of all the “good accommodation” choices. Very clean and very comfortable. I loved how much space we had in each room. It was a 3-minute stroll to the coffee shop (located in the grocery store, QFC). Secure underground parking. Elevators to one’s’ room. Exceptionally quiet noise-cancelling windows. We literally had Jack hammering done by a new construction crew on the street .*AND* Highway 99 road noise but no noise was heard in the room! We were amazed once we walked out the front door and were greeted by beeping heavy equipment! Convenient access to Interstate 5. Exceptionally nice bedding (I loved the comforter). Temperature was easy to control. Effective, too.

The Chihuly Art Gallery was fantastic! The SAM Art Museum was quite lovely as well. Pike Place market did not disappoint with so many cute little shops, foodie establishments and artisans. The food was amazing in Seattle although it comes at a cost! Had a lovely time! I walked almost everywhere and took the sky train once, super easy to navigate!
I'm not one for disrespecting one's city, probably due to all cities having the latest problem with homelessness, but Really Seattle, come on take a stance enforce some laws of some sort, they are not the only people who visit/live in your city. Someday it will come and bite you, if it has not already, just look at how many shops you have closed, vacant buildings, while the addicts and criminals take over, this also includes having your bus drivers being stabbed to death in broad day light, is this what you want to be known for?
So much to see and do. The space needle, and the Museum of Pop Culture was my top pick. Museum of Illusions, Pike Place and the waterfront has so much to offer, great city for tourists and could have spent a couple of more days to explore further a field.
Seattle is a neat city with a lot of beautiful architecture and history. I've been several times, so I avoided many of the usual attractions but did make it down to Pike Place and walked around Seattle Center. It was January and cold and people outside of the Hostel I stayed at weren't very friendly with the exception of Transit personnel who assisted my friend and I when we needed to use the bus system. Seattle, like other major cities, is obviously going to have issues with homeless people but while walking around we were never approached or asked for anything. Capitol Hill is a fun area to explore too.
We didn't have enough time for all the places we want to go, so Mt. Rainier is the first choice. WE are very lucky to have a beautiful day, very bright sun all the way to the top of the mountain. It is the best part of our trip. We also went to the Bainbridge island, really enjoy the ferry and the crew are very dedicated, they did very good job to help every car being safe and comfortable. The day we went to the island is a holiday, so the reserved park is closed. We found a gem: "the North Kitsap Heritage park", is amazing, like a small rainforest, we enjoyed very much!
Cold, but Gorgeous sunny weather for January! The Space Needle always is a favorite. We did City Pass this trip and saw Chihuly & the Aquarium as well as Pikes Place Market and the Waterfront. Walking miles and seeing sculpture parks along the way. Try “Wings over Seattle” for a fun family treat!
