I also appreciated the information on climbing Mt Rishiri from the very helpful lady at front desk (who also spoke fluent English). She gave us helpful tips and even arranged a bento breakfast for us to take to the mountain. The hotel arranged the transport both to and from the trailhead as well.

Home-style Japanese breakfast was provided. The room a traditional tatami room which was spacious and clean. Walking distance from the main train station and a bus stop just a few walks away. An onsen was nearby, and wild deer could be spotted around the neighborhood as well. Oh, they're not proficient in English but will try their best to convey their messages to you.
