We came and went by car so it was convenient enough for us but I can’t speak to how the public transportation was for this area. I did spot a train station within walking distance of the hotel.

Located in Tendo of Yamagata Prefecture, Hotel features a sauna, hot springs bath and open-air bath with a scenic view of a waterfall. Free WiFi is provided in all guest rooms and the lobby. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved the location which was within easy walking distance of the train station, great restaurants, and museums. Our suite had a beautiful view, and was full of lovely extras like yukata of all sizes, tea, water, and snacks. The onsen was amazing, including the sauna. The Premier Lounge was an added luxury that we enjoyed. The gift shop was full of wonderful souvenirs, plus the gift shop attendant very kindly helped us mail our luggage to our next destination.
