Boasting an open-air bath and views of city, Tendo Hotel is a recently renovated ryokan set in Tendo, 30 km from Zao Onsen Ski Resort. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved the location which was within easy walking distance of the train station, great restaurants, and museums. Our suite had a beautiful view, and was full of lovely extras like yukata of all sizes, tea, water, and snacks. The onsen was amazing, including the sauna. The Premier Lounge was an added luxury that we enjoyed. The gift shop was full of wonderful souvenirs, plus the gift shop attendant very kindly helped us mail our luggage to our next destination.
