Comfortable, beautiful and cosy house located in the quiet place, provides an access to the wild nature and spectacular view. Shop, restaurants and wheal adventures in 10 min drive. House equipped with a small sauna, what’s great! Hosts are nice and helpful. We fell in love with this cottage and looking forward to staying there once more)

Laxhús is situated in Laxamýri, 85 km from Akureyri. Free private parking is available on site. Husavik is 8 km away. All units feature a flat-screen TV. Some units have a seating area and/or terrace.... everything! amazing cozy place - clean, well equipped with gorgeous view. wish we could stay longer

Nastanitev Vetursetur je v mestu Laxamýri v regiji Severna Islandija in ima teraso ter razgled na gore. This cabin is not the most modern and chic but it felt so cosy and authentic. The lava formations around it were magical and it made for a great first base for us in Iceland and we stayed 2 nights - we really felt like we'd arrived somewhere really different. We love wildlife and were delighted to find a snipe on the porch on the first evening, loads of golden plover (including chicks), redwing and curlew. It was super cold when we arrived (weather obviously not the fault of the owner!) - about 4 degrees C in July, the wind was really going for it too - the small radiators were on and we quickly found the heater and were very cosy in no time. The bedrooms are very compact as is the bathroom but everything worked and was comfortable. We loved the inclusion of a good bean to cup coffee maker too. The location was excellent for days out in Husavik and Myvatn, we would have been happy to even have stayed a bit longer. It is off the beaten track, but the owner gave us super clear directions and we had no trouble finding it at all.
