would recommend , there is a good bit to see and overall the city is very nice . the street art on the buildings are amazing , the food and night life is enjoyable . good choice of foods depending on what you want . if your interested in History there are a number of Museums to check out . the medievil Museum specifically going into the origins of the City , which is well worth visiting .
I have been to Waterford many times over the years. All I can say it has changed so much for the better. There is endless things to do and see, museums all in the same area. Historical blue plaques depicting some of the people who made Ireland what it has become today.. If you are touring Ireland, Waterford is not just about its glass.
Wonderful City very friendly for Pedestrians, had a fantastic experience of the SPRAOI festival..great shopping ,good cafes and lovely architecture .The planting of flowers and beds throughout the city exceptionally beautiful and complimentary to surroundings.Good hospitatality all round...We will be back again.
The scenery, the beaches, mountains & rivers are exceptional. The weather was good throughout our stay. The friendliness of the people and the food was excellent, Lismore & Tallow. The toilets at Ardmore beach need a big overhaul and housekeeping on busy summer days! A lovely county which I would recommend a visit to and will definitely return to....
Wonderful city, beautiful architecture and history. People are warm and friendly. We stayed here mid week so unsure what weekend would be like. We also had glorious weather ensuring the stay was even more fun. The sunny south east is right!!! It is a student city so it's busy and bustling. The Waterford accent is magical to listen to. We really needed the break but it was far two short, for three days two nights. To get all the tours done one would easily need that again. We went to Granville hotel for dinner, absolutely gorgeous Breakfast and stayed in Dooley's Hotel and O couldn't recommend highly enough. We visited the Bishops Palace and Reginalds Tower, walked on the Greenway, went to Tramore and the Japanese Gardens there, visited Dunmore East, Ardmore and tallow. We went to All Ireland Antiques, and that was charming, Great stay
The City is lovely, especially the waterfront plenty of touristy things to do, but not a lot for young children. the historic area is lovely to walk around "( even in the rain ) Looks like they are making improvements along the waterfront, which I think will only add the the pleasure of visitors.
