A recently renovated apartment, Maple place offers accommodations in Velika Gorica. The apartment, set in a building dating from 1985, offers free Wifi and free private parking. My stay at Maple place was the most authentic experience of all 10 days I was in Croatia. The facilities were exactly what I needed and my hosts were extremely pleasant. They arranged to pick and drop me off at the airport and charged what I would have paid for a taxi or Uber, but without any hassle. Mainly I was stopping in Zagreb to get to the airport, this spot was perfect for that. There is a charm to the area and despite being close to some highway roads, I really liked the country feel.

Quite and packed with nature. Not much other than that honestly if you don't know anybody there, but you can find a beautiful church (St. Barbare), a supermarket (Konzum), and the small city/village is fairly close to Zagreb. Take bus 268 and you're there at the main station in 30 mins!
Very close to airport for late/ early arrival / departure. Great clear instructions given re key to room. Breakfast was good. Very large room where tables were well distanced from each other. Very comfortable bed though very low to ground. Bathroom was beautiful with great walk in shower. Lovely additions to bathroom accessories. Everything thought of. Only drawback no water in room. Staff extremely helpful prior to arrival and while at the hotel. Great communication re taxi which was booked through hotel to pick up from airport. Very professional staff.
Close to the airport was a deciding factor for me. The lack of hot water didnt bother me much (it did my partner) as I just wanted a bed for the night and quick transfer to the airport. Staff was helpful thou
Small town with pretty much nothing to do as it is an airport suburb of Zagreb. Most hotels provide accommodations to guests arriving to or leaving from nearby Zagreb airport, for which the town is very convenient.
the room is very nice but in the pictures they don't show all the humidity that is on the walls of the room that is hidden behind the curtains... it is a waste of money to pay to breathe humidity while you are in the room... the host was very disrespectful to me, because according to him I stole the hair dryer from the room simply because he didn't see it in the same place it was. Please make sure before calling a person a thief whether it is true or not. I am still waiting for an apology. Ridiculous
Stay in this town only if you need to be close to the airport for a very early morning flight. There is a bus 290 which takes you from Zagreb airport to Trg Krestnova which is centrally located in zagreb. Takes 30 minutes and costs 93 cents. Much better option to stay in Zagreb than Velika Gorica, where there is almost nothing to do.
