The room itself was very big. Had its own kitchen and large sink/ cooker/ Microwave/ Kettle. Even had a large family Fridge!! Room windows had good ventilation and secure. Lowest price room I found, would stay here again. I managed to park my large Van securely and about 10 yards from front Hotel door. Plenty of nice takeaways / superstore within walking distance. Location is great between A1 between M1 motorway.
No food served in the evening. Had to drive into the town centre to eat. Accommodation of a very poor standard needs money spending on the rooms to bring them to what pub accommodation now has to offer. Very tired interior and no thought in the rooms for today's current traveller. Needs work space desk or area. Wi-Fi not very strong either. Sink needed the tap fixing as it was pouring out hot water. Shower had mould everywhere and no mirrors downstairs to get ready in the morning. I would not recommend this property for over night stays. The area and pub are lovely and traditional so this could, if money was spent, be a Jewell.
In fairness, we had a great two days doing what we went to do, but wouldn't have gone otherwise, and no plans to rush back. We went for the "Wild in Art" sculpture trail of Tortoises and Hares. Luton seems to have several sculpture trails, so we may be back yet!
Very relaxing and serene area . Easy access to both Luton and Hitchin the areas I needed to go to unfortunately the food service is restricted , there is no food served after 4 on Sunday when I checked in .
Old mattresses and other furniture type items in the corridor, people’s shoes, trainers etc in the hallway, no en suite shower in room, the room was cold upon arrival and the garden view that is described in the advertisement was more of an eyesore than a view
I booked a family suite through "Booking.com" as I was staying overnight with my 11 year old grandson. When I arrived, I was given a very small double room as I was told that there were no family suites available. I did not want to sleep in the same bed as my Grandson, so we were moved to another double room and a camp bed was provided! No refund was offered. Very disappointing. Also, the breakfast was listed as a buffet breakfast, but one of the hotel staff was serving it!
