If you want to feel like royalty, stay here your last nights before flying out of EDI Airport. If you always look up when you hear an airplane engine, this is a little spot of heaven. The property is equipped with a central sound system for those who aren't thrilled with the sound of planes, so no worries about noise pollution intruding upon the peace and tranquility. If you have the soul of a daydreamer .... book this property and you will never regret your choice! I didn't get to light fires in the two fireplaces so a return trip is due to experience that bit of magic! Many thanks to the incredible hosts for making this property available to the hopeless romantics and perpetual daydreamers of the world....

A charming stone-built Victorian villa dating back to the 1880s, Corstorphine Lodge Hotel is located on the A8, which links Edinburgh Airport to the city centre. Eines der komfortabelsten Unterkünfte was ich hatte.
Wir hatten ein 4 Bett Familien Zimmer, selbst das Schlafsofa war bequem. Die Fenster sind sehr gut. Man hört nichts vom Flughafen. Auf dem Zimmer gab es eine Tee- / Kaffeemaschine. Wir waren nur zum schlafen da. Haben abends nur noch ein Bier getrunken :-) Dafür war es prima und die Zimmer echt sauber.
Netter, ruhiger Ort direkt an der Küste. Idealer Ausgangsort um Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu machen (zu Fuss, dem Fahrrad, dem Auto oder ÖV). Zentral gelegener Bahnhof, ca 15 Autominuten vom Flughafen entfernt. ca 15 Autominuten vom Zoo entfernt. Möglichkeit Schiffs Ausflüge zu machen. Blick auf die Forth Bridge (und man kann drüber laufen :-))
Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen zu dem Flugplatz und dem Tram. ( zu Fuss 6 Minuten ) Leider wurden die Zimmer die wir hatten zum Teil nicht gemacht und die Badezimmer nicht gereinigt, zum Teil hatte es in einem Zimmer noch ein verschmutztes Badtuch vom Vorgänger.
Kleines nettes Örtchen am Südufer des Forth zwischen den drei großen Brücken. Absolut beeindruckender Blick.
Airport zu Fuß-Mietwagen zu Fuß- sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal- ideal für Flugreisende gute Anbindung in die City
Bitte unbedingt in der Stadt einen Tisch fürs Dinner reservieren Sonntags sind einige Restaurants zu. Bus fahren ist unproblematisch. Von der Stadt aus kann man gut Rundtouren durchführen.
Mir hat es gefallen wir sehr zentral das Hotel liegt und Preisleistungsverhältniss auch sehr gut. Der Aufzug hatte derzeit eine Reparatur aber es waren alle an der Rezeption sehr Hilfsbereit um die Koffern ins Zimmer zu bringen. Airlink 100 Bus Richtung Flughafen Edinburgh hält direkt vor der Tür an.
