Everything was perfect. We were early on schedule, no problem, our nice host waited for us at the door. The building is located in the main street of the old town, just behind the Santa Maria gate (the photo in all tourist brochures.) The inside is completely renovated (with a large lift). The apartment is pristine, beds comfortable, nice bathrooms, a kitchen with all equipments - but we only used it for breakfast, because of all the good restaurants nearby (pintxos !). For the activities other than eating, pay a visit to the nice people in the tourist information office. I recommend the trails around the Guadalupe sanctuary.

Amazing location, right next door to a beautiful restaurant 'Tatapas Gastroteka' which turned out to be our favourite of the trip and we revisited frequently. A short walk to so many great restaurants and bars in the surrounding picturesque streets, but also the eateries on the bustling high street. Honestly, just amazing food and drink every way you turn! Enjoyable easy 30 min stroll to the beach and 5 mins to supermarket and buses for further afield travel. The beach was so pleasant, clean (in fact everywhere was so clean) and stress free with some cracking waves. The apartment itself is perfect, with enough in the kitchen to prep the occasional meal from home- and Netflix was a nice home comfort. Great shower. Cute little balcony over the square so you feel part of the hubbub, with perfect view to spot a free table in the restaurants below... :) Also strongly recommend a hike to the vineyards. What a great holiday! Thank you. Restaurant recommendations: Tatapas Gastroteka, Mika, Alameda, Asador Sutan, Hontza Cocktail Bar, Bar Conchita and really wish we could have tried Gastroteka Danontzat, but it was fully booked! Most you will need to pre-book.

This former palace dating back to 14th-15th century is located in historic Hondarribia, enjoying views over the river Bidasoa and to France. Guests can enjoy an on site gastrolounge. Awesome stay.... the view from the room, overlooking the river was great. Breakfast in the morning was superb. Location to the old town and main street is excellent. Overall great stay

The area was wonderful but the windows open out right onto the street level and anyone can crawl into your flat at any time. No air conditioning so we wanted to sleep with windows open but then would get complete strangers looking into our room. A LOT

The staff were very kind and helpful. I came on my own for a solo getaway and felt very taken care of. Everything from breakfast to the servicing of the room to the bedding, was just fantastic. I had several spa treatments while there, all exceptional.
