The apartment was spotless clean and the host was amazing. She organised transport for my family so we could enjoy Alicante one evening and also so we could get to the airport the next morning. She kept in contact by txt to ensure we were where we needed to be and that we had everything we needed. Not only that but one of my children left behind a soft toy that is very very special to him. I told the host and within 3 hours she had it in the mail back to Ireland. This is service and kindness to the highest level. What a great person.

Hotel Doña Isabel is set in Torrellano, less than 1 km from Alicante’s Airport and Conference Centre. It has a traditional Spanish restaurant and rooms with free Wi-Fi. Location is just a short bus ride from the Airport outside the main arrivals marked Elche, it costs 1.30 each and drops you off at the front door across the street. For the return to the Airport, bus leaves every hour on the half hour from 7.30 a.m. back to Departures. This is a beautiful hotel, like stepping back in time and so beautifully decorated in true Spanish style inside, attention to detail is excellent. It has 24 hour reception and an excellent restaurant right next door accessed through the Reception. Food was excellent and our stay was perfect, a little noise can be heard from other rooms but so what !! I wished we could have stayed here longer just to enjoy this lovely simple hotel. The value for money was excellent, room was spacious and very clean and comfortabIe, bathroom was large and very well equipped. I do not know how they can do it for this price but I was very very impressed and I would certainly go back and advise anyone who needs to stay for an early flight or who arrives on a late evening flight to stay here before the onward journey. The little town of Torrellana is also very nice and has great walks in beautiful countryside, it is hard to believe you are so near to Alicante and the Airport the town is that quiet. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Go for one of the slightly more expensive rooms and you will not be dissapointed! I loved it!!
